Mr Parker continues to do great things! Hagerman Schools have been named a 2024 recipient of the NM Ag in the Classroom Grow Project grant. He will be receiving training and building raised garden beds on campus this fall. We appreciate all that he does to "grow" our FFA program.

We’re excited to share the news that Hagerman High School Ag Education teacher Alan Parker was selected as one of 50 finalists for the 2024 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence, which honors excellent teaching in skilled trades education in U.S. public high schools. Alan is now in the running for one of 25 prizes totaling $1.5 million, which will be awarded in Fall 2024.

Wednesday May 15, we will be providing an opportunity for students the receive a physical to participate in sports for the 2024/2025 school year.
We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to avoid getting last minute physicals before school starts. That situation usually leads to missed playing time.
You need a physical to practice and play!

We want to inform you of changes to today's dismissal schedule and bus services due to hazardous driving conditions in our area.
Despite the weather conditions, dismissal will proceed at the regular time today.
Bus Service Changes: However, please note that due to the hazardous driving conditions, bus 2 and bus 3(past 285) will not be running this afternoon. If your child typically rides either bus 2 or bus 3, we kindly request that you make arrangements to pick up your child from school today. This ensures their safety and well-being.
We understand that this change may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption to your schedule. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the school office at 575 752-3254.
Sincerely, Mrs. Reyes

Please be informed that construction on Cambridge Street, directly in front of our school, will begin on Monday, April 22, 2024, starting at 8:15 AM. I want to assure you that this construction will not interfere with drop-off and pick-up procedures.
The construction is expected to be completed by 12:30 PM. However, please note that the street will remain closed until approximately 2:00 PM and it will be reopened in time for dismissal.
During this time, if you need to visit the school for any reason, we kindly ask that you park on Aberdeen Street and walk to the school premises.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the construction or its impact on school activities, please do not hesitate to reach out to the administration team. We are here to address any concerns you may have.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Reyes
Interim Superintendent

I need to inform you of a recent incident at Hagerman Municipal Schools that required us to enact our safety protocols. Today, we experienced a situation that prompted a shelter in place procedure to ensure the safety and security of all individuals within our premises.
I want to reassure you that at no point during this incident was anyone in immediate danger. The decision to initiate the lockdown was purely precautionary and in line with our commitment to prioritizing the safety of our students and staff.
It's important to note that drills and exercises such as these are conducted periodically to ensure that everyone is prepared to respond effectively in the event of an emergency. Today's lockdown served as an opportunity for us to practice our response procedures and evaluate our readiness.
If you have any questions please reach out to the admin team.

Unexpected construction:
Due to unexpected construction that is happening today, I need to inform you of some changes regarding the campus exit routes and student release schedule, effective from today, April 18th and hopefully just a few days.
Beginning today, the drive lane for exiting the campus using Gladstone and Oxford will be closed. However, you may still use Cambridge for exiting the campus. We kindly ask that cars leaving the campus turn right at the High School Gym and exit using the bus lane.
Students who ride the bus will be released approximately 10 minutes earlier than usual to facilitate the loading of buses and ensure their timely departure before 3:00 PM.
After the buses have left the campus, parent pickup students will be released.
We understand that these changes may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. To ensure the safety of all students and staff, we kindly request that you do not pass any parked buses and remain patient for any unexpected delays.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and assure you that we are working diligently to minimize disruptions. Please stay tuned for further updates.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school office at 575 752-3254.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Belia Reyes
