On Friday, October 28, a group of Juniors headed up to the African American Performing Arts center in Albuquerque to attend TEDxABQ Women. Ten speakers and three performances encouraged girls and women to be powerful change agents in their community. After a quick dinner, the group headed up to the Sandia Speedway for LanternFest. Paige, Haylee, Joana, Ciera, Anna, and Christina lit a paper lantern and watched it take to the sky with hundreds of others in celebration of peace and hope for the future.
