HOT! ENMU-R has $30,000 to give to students. Five students who are pursuing EMT/Paramedic training will recieve scholarships. Another five will go to GED receipients, and another five will go to first-time college students who came through the foster care system or juvinile justice system. See Ms. Selensky for more information. The New Mexico Coallition of School Administrators will award $2,000 to a graduating senior with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Get information and apply before February 15, 2008. Burger King Scholars Program is offering $1,000. Online application can be found at www.bk.com/scholars. Requires a 2.5 GPA, work part-time an average of 15 hours a week, and actively involved in community service. Based on financial need. Due February 18, 2008. The NM Credit Union Education Foundation will award scholarhips to NM seniors with a 2.8GPA or better, enrolling in a NM college or tech school. Apply before February 29. PVT offers through its Education Foundation up to $6,000 to students with immediate family members who are an active part of PVT service. Apply by March 1. If your family recieves telephone service from a rural cooperative (NTCA), you may be eligible for up to $2,500. Graduating seniors with 2.0GPAs or better can apply before March 1. The Society of Mayflower has up to $750.00 for students in good standing with a history of community involvement and service. Deadline is March 15. For students with a 3.0 or higher, who have taken the ACT or SAT and plan on attending a New Mexico college, the New Mexico Association of School Business Officials will grant $1,500.
