- Chavez County is looking to build a Memorial to honor and/or commemorate veterans from all wars from the county. The county would like to consider all recommendations or designs for this memorial. Therefore, students interested in participating in sketching or drawing a design to commemorate our veterans, please contact Ms. Henderson, art teacher or Mr. Chavez. If your design (drawing) is selected, your name will be honored as the designer of this memorial. Please show your artistic talent and sketch something that your community would take pride in honoring all veterans. Samples of different Memorials can be viewed in Ms. Henderson’s classroom.
